OUR MANDAP STORIES

Pallavi & Keyur wanted a simple but striking mandap. So we designed this floral and fabric mandapin peach and maroon. We used deep red roses, peach roses and white Chrysanthemum on the top with peach and red chiffon fabric. We completed the mandap with a neat chattai floor and white and gold chairs.

he beautiful Chandelier of the Leela Palace Ballroom just added the elegance and sophistication required to take this mandap to the next level.

For Nityn and Akanksha, we wanted to do something fresh and simple. We found inspiration in the Wisteria flower. Unfortunately, they are bloom in spring summer. That is when our search for a similar flower led us to the Wisteria's cousin - the Delphinium. And we were in love. We imported this gorgeous blueish-purple flowers to make a floral jhoomar (chandelier) for the top of our mandap.

Our most iconic mandap is this one we did for Meghna and Andrew's wedding in the summer of 2013.

This Beautiful Mogra-Genda mandap was the result of a simple brief - "I love Jasmine". We immediately knew that Mogra was going to be huge and we added the yellow Genda for a pop of color. Lets be honest, yellow and white are a divine combination.

This mandap has been brought back to us several times since its creation.

For Preethi & Vitten we created two mandaps - one for their Nichyadartum (a south Indian Engagement) and one for their Wedding.

For the the Nichyadartum, we gave them beautiful carved pillars with a crown of gorgeous white flowers like roses, gladoli, orchids, etc.

For their wedding, we used the existing gazebo at Tamarind Tree and adorned it with strung white and pink flowers and accented the colors with strung green foliage. To add a temple feel we added temple bells.

We also added a touch or organza to the ceiling and a pretty chatai backdrop. We used urlis to cordon off the stairs right in front of the couple.

Nivriti & Avkash told us that wanted modern chic with bright colors for their Garden wedding at ITC Windsor. So we used our favorite yellow genda (Marigold), this time with glass orbs. Yellow and pink emerged as a theme from our conversation with the couple and their families.

A touch of bright pink roses in the glass orbs just completed this mandap and how.

Neha & Ankur wanted glamour for their Arya Samaj Wedding. And what is more glamorous than shimmering sequin fabric. We added strings of crystals in the back as we didn't want to cover up the gorgeous banyan tree in the back.

Supriya and Rajit chose the the gorgeous Tamarind Tree as their wedding venue. Our job was easy, make a beautiful venue look perfect with a minimalist pieces. In effect to that, we added a pink and orange floral crown to our favorite carved pillars. Drapes and gaddha sets in the same color just tied the whole look together.

Anant and Yasmina wanted a bright mandap but had one condition, that the flower must be really high up as Anant was allergic to pollen. So we did two things, chose roses that they are closed flowers with a lesser change of pollen flying around and kept it as high up as we possible could. We also layered plain gold organza with booti-dar red net. Finished the look off with temple bells.
